A Day in the life of a preschool teacher!

Current mood: exhausted

Wow, if you think that preschool teachers don't do anything but play with little kids...check out how my day was today and then we will talk!
i get there... and we have the kids in the gym, and it's starts raining hardcore...so we take them back into the main building. well we have them in the class room sitting up against the wall and calling them to get into groups for centers. well all of a sudden me and ashley (my coworker) hear a big splat and then "ewwwww!".... and there was this little girl vomitting over and over and over again....okay so we throw all of the kids on the carpet area where the centers are far away from the throw up.Ashely cleans the lil' girl up while i'm cleaning the puke up....so the little girl gets picked up and i'm still cleaning the mess up... i put chemicals on it...and then all of a sudden ashley looks at me and realizes that one of the little boys has just pooped his pants and i don't mean like a small dropping, but huge load! so she's trying to clean him and keep an eye on the kids while i am still cleaning the puke....well then the little boy smeared poop all over the potty.....well i get the chemicals wiped up and i'm vacuuming up this powder stuff and then a kid starts bleeding, b/c another kid threw a brick (toy lego thing...a huge toddler size one) at him.... so ash cleans that kid up, and i then start to mop....but i can't find the mop.... so i find a toilet brushand clean the floor with it.... well then this one little girl...after i told her to watch her step...runs to her mommy and SPLAT! falls right into the wet floor....thankfully i had cleaned it... but she begins to bleed! And then I told my kids that i would give them all candy because they were so good to play on the carpet while Ash and myself cleaned the mess up...So they are cleaning the centers up and then all of a sudden one of the little boys splaps a little girl really hard....I fussed at him, put him in time out and told him he didn't get candy...then he started crying as thought i had just cut his arm off. Thankfully his father came at that moment and told him that i had every right to take candy away when he was beign a bad little boy....thankd the Lord for parents that disipline their kids!!!! all of this happened in an hour period! What a day!!!! I was so glad to get home and pass out on the couch!!!!! I have to work all day tomorrow from 8-6 with the 2 and 3 year olds...and some of them aren't potty trained. Before all of this stuff happend...I chaned a diapper and thought...wow i'm used to the gross stuff now i'l lbe able to handle tomorrow no prob...boy was i in for what was to come!!!!! So, never think that a preschool teacher doesn't do anything but play with kids...you have just met one that knows what all goes one!

Have a great night everyone and don't be too shocked that i actually blogged!!!!

Time of my Life!!!

I have never had so much fun in a 5 hour span as I did last night! ..Last night I went out with who is quickly becoming my favorite person, Ron.
When he came to pick me up, I was of course not ready! I feel so bad making him wait everytime we go out! I was all discombobulated yesterday! I forgot his Bob Crumbly shirt...my mom had to come out and hand it to me, and I forgot my cell phone...but Ron didn't seem to mind...which is good!

So, When I finally got everything together, got in his car, and we were off to the Goodwill! We were in search on a dective hat! One we walked in, we spotted the hat shelf, and it was like an opifiany and the heaven's parted and a light shined down and a choir of little baby angles with trumpets began to play, and and there was the detective hat!!!! We got pretty excited, the baby angel choir quited down and I reminded Ron that he told me if we found a hat that he would do the moon walk...he did it for me! Let me say, it was AWESOME!!!!! We walked around some more, and then I spotted the coolest coat ever! It's an organish long button down coat with a belt! I fell in love with it, and decided to buy it. We walked around and then went to pay for our stuff. When we got outside, Ron reminded me that I had to do my "White Girl Bust a Move" for him. After we found some good rap music, I broke out into my dance move...Ron of course laughed really hard, and then I started laughing! He said that it was as great as he expected it to be!

We left the Goodwill, and then we were off to the mall in search of some Converse sneakers for Ron. We started off by going to Journeys...they had some but were really pricey. We then went into Hot Topic..they didn't have a great selection...but they did have some creepy eat your soul music..and Ron kept laughing at me as I got more frightened by the moments!!! We then left the Scary Music store, and went to a few other stores until we came to Shoe Dept. Ohh we had so much fun! We found a pretty decent selection of Converse shoes there. We sat on the bench in the isle and stared at the "Converse Conversations Wall" as we named it...and then we just kinda sat there and talked...ahh I love talking to Ron! He told me all types of interesting stories...including a country singing Tazz Tatoo! Finally, he decided to try on some of the shoes! The shoes that Ron tried on said "distressed" on them. So I of course felt bad for the shoe, and gave it hug! Ron laughed, and said that being unnormal was a great thing! YAY! Thanks, Ron! I then got really silly while ron was trying on the shoes and made the shoe talk to him, but Ron wouldn't talk back to the shoe....poor little distressed shoe! We then went to pay for the shoes, and had a fun time playing with Tic-Tac boxes...are they pink or white?! haha!
We left the store, and then Ron went to get some huge drink that I swear was large enough to paint a house with...from the Cinnabun place. Oh man...he was "Buzzy" after drinking that drink! We left the mall and went to Barnes and Nobles to look around. I took Ron over to the children's section to find the best children's bok ever entitled "Don't let the Pigeon Drive the Bus" We sat down on the lil' pic-nic tables in the children's section...Ron looked so adorable!...and I read the book to him! Ron was so funny and got really into the book...answering the questions and stuff...and noticed that the pigeon did the white girl bust a move...but I guess it would be the gray pigeon bust a move in his case?! hahaha! Anywho, we walked around for a little while, looking a quail pens. While looking at the pens, I fell over, and my bracelet snaped and "ate" my hand. I felt sad, so Ron gave me a very wonderful hug! After this, we looked at Calendars, and a Zebra calendar jumped off the shelf and attacked me...I guess it was mad at me?! We then left the Barnes and Nobles and sadly headed back to my house so I could study for Western Civ.

On the way home, we had tons of conversations. We talked about grandparents, stuff we did in highschool, music, and just so many things in general. I really love talking to him, our conversations come so naturally...weather they are serious or silly, they are always great! Our conversation and ride home only felt like five mins, because we were back to my house so soon! We got out of his car, and talked for a while, made shadow puppets from his head lights, gave each other the hugs that we owed each other, and then talked a while longer! I could tell that he didn't want me to go in as much as I didn't want to go in! Finally, we said good bye and embraced in a long and most wonderful hug...ahhh he gives the best hugs! He drove off, and I walked into my house, smiling the entire time! It was so hard to go to sleep last night..I was floating on air and I was so happy! Ron truly gave me the greatest time that I have had in a long long time! I'm really happy right now, and I hope this continues.

Oh and to close, last night on the way home, the song "Time of your Life" by Green Day came on. As I think about it, that song really described last night. The chourous goes "It's something unpredictable but in the end it's right, I hope you have the time of your life." At first, we really didn't know what we were gonna do other than go to good will (unpredictable), but in the end it turned out awesome (but in the end it's right) and I def had the time of my life last night!!!!

With the execption of my Biology class...college life is great! I never knew that college could be this much fun! I have met so many interesting and awesome people. It's alot better and more diverse than highschool ever was...I love it so much! I love being at a school that there are so many people from so many different back grounds...like today I talked to a girl that is Muslim...I really enjoyed talking to her about her faith...learned so much!!
Life is good because I went to the moutains over the weekend and got to stuff myself with some awesome food at the Daniel Boone Inn! It was good to be with my family and eat some good good food! We then walked around down town Boone and then went to Linville Falls! My dad and I hiked out to the falls...it was beautiful! I haven't been hiking and marveled at God's creation in such a long time...It was breath taking and so amazing!!!
Life is good because I have met someone that I really enjoy talking to and spending time with, Ron. Our conversations are so great, and I can fully be myself around him, and he doesn't think I'm odd...which is great! I love hanging out with him...He makes me smile so much, and laugh! Life is also good b/c Ron said "Well son of a biscuit" tonight, which makes me smile...but he does that alot! I get to hang out with him on Thursday...don't know what we'll do...but what ever we do it'll be fun b/c I'll be with him! Wonder what adventure Janet Flanet and Fuzzy Slippers will get into next?!

Life is good because BBQ fest is Oct. 22nd and Ace, Nate, and maybe other camp ppl will be coming in, and Ron will be there! It is gonna be awesome to spend it with these wonderful people. I hope that we get to eat some good food...and just have fun being in the company of each other! After the bbq fest, we are gonna go camping in my woods...and make smores and cobbler! YAY for food and camping!!! I can't wait...this BBQ Fest weekend is going to be great!!!

Awesome movie with an Awesome guy

Last night was SPLENDIFFEROUS!!!!
I went to see the Corpse Bride with Ron. On the way there, we talked non-stop in the car...we laughed so much and had such great conversations! We got to the movie really early, which I liked, because it gave us a chance to sit and talk. We talked about so many different things: common interest, serious things, goofy things, and just had fun playing to movie trivia and being silly!
Once the movie started we kept making comments like "This is so cool!" Ron looked so cute with his mouth wide open in amazment during some of the scenes...I was shocked and impressed by the storyline, animation, and music as well! Ron and I both agreeed that the music was incredible!!!
After the movie, we walked out and heard a Christmas song playing...hmm we both laughed at thought it was odd! Then on the drive home we talked some more...I love that I can talk to him about ANYTHING and he actually doesn't think I'm weird! Hahaha!
Oh he gave me two Bojangles shirts, which means I know have to give him some Bob Crumbly and Assosiates shirts...so we can be cool like that!
It was a great night, great movie, and it was with an awesome person!
So...this weekend I'll be studying Biology...grrr and possibly eating at Daniel Boone Inn in the Mtns.
Have a Great weekend everyone!!!!

Hey Ya'll Look...I'm posting again! This weekend was Awesome!!

I am so tired from such an incredible weekend!
On Friday night, my parents dropped me off in Ashville, NC at camp Rockmont for the Teens Camping Tour of the West annual stockholders retreat! Oh my! It was so great to see Mr. Doug Gill, the tour director! I jumped out of the car and he embraced me with a huge hug!! I love me some Doug Hugs! I was also greeted by several people from my trip...they all showed up when I showed up! It was so great to hug everyone!
That night inside of the cabin, was so much fun chatting and catching up with everyone and wondering what the crap was going on while Dave Seskin ran down the hall in his "thong" shaking the entire cabin!

The next morning we had breakfest and started to offical meeting. Then it was off to have free time of swimming, "blobing"...which Jay Dawkins and I think should now be an olympic sport...we were rating ppl's "Blobs", sliding, and canoe racing. I sat on the dock and chatted with people from my trip, staff from my trip, and got to know some of the older participants. It was so nice to just talk and catch up! During free time, we had a meeting for all of the '03 participants who are interested in going to the Bahamas over Christmas break! I hope I get to go, I hope that I can come up witht he money...it would be so awesome to be sailing with some TCTW kids and Doug!!! After all the free time we had dinner and Beth impressed us all with her eating skills! We also had some plastic fork and spoon fights! It was very amusing!
After dinner Becky and I had to go through this past summer kid's photo books for pictures for the slide shows...I love looking at other kid's pics, but it makes me so homesick for the west...I want to go back!

That night we had the Steve Seskin concert, the highlight of stockholders! Like always, Steve put on an excellent show, played all of my favorites, made me feel inspired and so full of life! He ended the show with "Blue Music", and my prayer is that I live out the chorous of that song..."I heard blue blue music last night, thought it was a dream, coming from the old piano playing the good old harmony, put my hand on your tremblign shoulder, said momma look at me, just trying to live my life the way my heart says it should be!"
After the show, I stayed up and talked to Charles(staff from my trip) for awhile..he wants to come see me for some BBQ! and then I went back to the room and talked to Kristen, Courtney, Annie, Jessie, Beth, and Amy until we feel asleep.

The next morning, we woke up for breakfast, had the closing of our formal meeting! We then formed a huge circle and heard the day 23 journal entry from this year and then Lea sang a song, and it officaly hit us that it was time to say goodbye, pack up and head back into the real world. I got in the long line to tell Doug bye, hugged him for a long time, chatted for a bit, and then hugged some other people, went into the room, packed, hugged more ppl, fought off tears, walked out the door, told some others goodbye, got in the car with my parents and headed home! The Stockholders weekend always goes by toooooo fast!

I'm glad I went to my 3rd stockholders! It always pushes me back on my mountain top! It was a great weekend and I'm so thankful for TCTW....thanks for an awesome, and tiring weekend you guys!!!!
I love you!!!!!

I promise that I'll do a better job of updating this thing!!! :)

Wow, I seriously haven't written anything on here in about a year...pathetic I know!
My life is going well...I am now 19, graduated from highschool and I'm going to a comunity college in my town to get my assosiates in science and then I want to transfer to a major university for physical therapy or nutrition.

Last weekend I went and ate some thai food for my friend Jen's bday...then went to Barnes and Noble with Madison, Tyler, Alex, Ashley, and Jessica. Since Emily's dorm is right near there, she met up with us for about 30 mins. It was so awesome to see her, I miss her even more now. I got to meet her boyfriend Greg, and his friend Devin, both are awesome. Greg seems really sweet and so good for Em. I can't wait to go up and spend a weekend with Em. It sucks that my best friend left me for college! hahaa!

Okay, I now have a myspace, and I have a blog on there too...so if you can't find me here go there http://www.myspace.com/11866911 and look me up!

Long over-due Post!!!

I am back!!!!!!!!!
Just to let all of you know, I have not died, I have just been bogged down with homework, stress, and umm...laziness!

Wow! So much good stuff has been taking place! The first weekend of October, I went to the TCTW Stockholder's Retreat! Ohh, how i love TCTW so much! This year, I forced myself to be myself, and to be outgoing and meet as many people as possible, and let me tell you, I had a blast! I met so many amazing and beautiful people! I met Charlie Brown, yes...there is an actual person named Charlie Brown...he was awesome, I met a cool girl named Val, and she has her own radio show for the Wake Forest student show, and she plays songs and gives me shout outs on it! So awesome! Ohh man! The huge water slide, blogg, chatting with wonderful people, meeting new friends, the Steve Seskin concert! Such a wonderful wonderful weekend! I'm so thankful that I got to go on the amzing journey west! A trip that forever has, and forever will change my life and make it better!

Okay, then, last weekend I had the joy of going to the Western Alamance band compotition! I rode with my dear dear friend, whom I love for driving my non driver's licenes butt around, Emily aka EMONEY! We met up with some amazing and truly beautiful souls from camp (JRVC), Amanda and Nate. Then, since Western Alamance is right near Elon, we went to pick up one of my favorite redheads in the entire world, yes, you guessed it, Adam! Ahh, it was so good to see him and to give him a huge long over due hug! :) We then got in the cars and headed off to the Western Alamance band Compotiton. Mitchell Woody, a good friend from camp goes to Western Alamance, and we called him to tell him we were coming, yaya! Mitchell's dad, Scott, was our camp director and pastor for the week...he was parking cars! hahaha! As soon as we drove up, we rolled down our windowns..screaming "SCOTT !!!! HEYYYY!!!!!!" haha! His face was priceless! He said "Ohhh great!" then seemed pretty excited that all of us came, and he gave us hugs! yaya, so great to see him and do some 80's dancing with him the parking lot! :) We walked in, and payed, got some much needed food. Let me say, I had never been to a band comp. before, and I thought it was gonna be kind dorky and boring...wow! I was so wrong, not only was I with some of the most amazing people in the entire world, but the comp. in it's self was so much fun! I totally had a blast and want to go to even more band comps. I guess i'm now a band comp. groupie! haha! Ohh...and Adam and I held hands and cuddled for the first time! Yay! I love how his hand just seems to "fit" in mine. It's a really good feeling, I had so much fun with him, geez I hate that I only get to see him like once a month, it sucks, but I'm so thankful that I have him, and that I do get to see him! Hanging out with Nate and Ace was a blast too, they were alot of fun at the band comp! They had to leave around 7, due to Ace's moms wishes, so they left and it felt like giving camp goodbyes all over again. Then, Em, Adam, and myself walked arouond and watched North DAvidson put on a spectacular performance! We then got ready to leave and told Scott a "long goodbye"...sorry bout that Adam! And then we drove back to Emily's house. Adam and I stayed the night at Emily's! Boy! that was a blast...staying up late and gossiping and just be really silly! I love you guys so much! Then, that moring, Adam's mom and sister came to pick him up, and they drove me back to Lexington, Adam got to meet my daddy, and he got the daddy seal of approval! HOORAY! Ahh, It was so good seeing him! :)

This weekend was an absolute blast!!!! JRVC reunion part 2!!! HOORAY! It was the 21st annual Lexington BBQ Festival!!!! Nate and Ace came down from Raleigh for the fest. They met Emoney at her house, and then the 3 of them came down to my house (here in Lexington), and we were off to the fest! This was Ace's 2nd bbq fest, and Nate's first. I don't know how many Emoney has been to, and I've been to too many to count! Nate had his first tates of Lexington BBQ! He seemed to like it! haha...I just remembered that was right when we made Nate go up to the Salem college booth and get info from them! hahaha....we didn't tell him until he walked back to us that Salem is an all girls school! Ahh! that was so priceless! We then walked around and I saw a pleathera (Nate, I know I spelled that wrong, please forgive me!) of people I knew! It just proved to Nate and Ace how small Lexington is, and how many people I know in the town, I think they counted around 13 people that I saw that I knew and stopped to talk to! We got to meet up with my friend Robert from outwest! Good seeing him! We got to meet George W. Bush and John Kerry!!!!!Woot, okay, maybe it was just some cardboard cut outs of them, but none the less, we took pictures of them! We took pictures with a woman dressed as a pig, and a huge walking around Sonic Cup that scared the poo out of Nate! haha! We also saw the HUGE sand sculpture that I wanted to run and jump on, and Nate wanted to throw rocks at it! Some nice random lady took our pics standing at it! We were getting pretty tired and wanted to get back to Emoney's so we could make some JRVC style blue berry cobbler! Ace wanted to get some Lexington style BBQ to take back to her family, so we went to a BBQ place, we then went to Food Lion and stocked up on the cobbler goods! Then, we went to Emily's school and used window marker's and wrote all over her friend Josh's car! hehehehe! Boy...that was fun! hahaha! We then went to Em's house, and made homemade pizza and cobbler! We settled down, and watched what Nate and I consider to be one of the world's greatest movies ever...MOULIN ROUGE! and during the climax and really really sad part, Ace and Emoney laughed...okay yes the dog did make a horribly weird sound, but still, they laughed! Nate and I comforted each other while the other two laughed! WE then went for a late night walk around the neighborhood, that was a blast, brought back camp memories! Then we went up to Emily's room, chatted, took girly quizes in magazines, chatted on IM with some people, and giggled until we finally forced ourselves to go to bed! We got up this morning, went to Emily's church, took pictures of the largest mail box I have ever seen!!!!!!! Woww!!!! Then we went to eat lunch at a Mexican place, good good food! :) Then, it was time for the sad goodbye's! Wow, I almost started crying, it truly was like the last day of camp all over again! I loves people so much! Thanks for a great weekend guys!!!!! Let's do it again next year!

Wow! This has been a really really long blog entry! Go rest your eyes now, take a brake, and thanks for reading it!!!!

Walk toward the sunset, dance in the moonlight, and keep smiling! :)

Thanks to those that actually read this, and keep bugging me to update it! I appreciate it!
